The University of Novi Sad, with more than 50 000 students and 5 000 employees, is one of the largest educational and research centres in Central Europe. It offers around 400 accredited study programs at the level of Bachelor, Master, Specialist and Doctoral studies, carried out at its faculties and within its Centres for Interdisciplinary and Multidisciplinary Studies. The study programs are modern and up-to-date with the latest developments in science and research.
Along with the Faculties and Centres, three Scientific Institutes have a significant role in creating a solid scientific base for the process of continuous modernisation of the educational offer.
The University of Novi Sad has a well-developed research infrastructure and great potential for innovation. The Central Library and the Faculty and Institute libraries offer a rich array of publications. The university encompasses around 250 laboratories. The University of Novi Sad builds collaborates actively with institutions that belong to the common European Higher Education and Research Area and globally.
One of the 14 faculties of the University of Novi Sad is the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad (AUNS), founded in 1974. AUNS is the largest HEI in Serbia in the field of art, covering music, drama, fine arts and applied arts studies. The Academy and the University of Novi Sad have come to be recognised as reform-oriented entities in the region and on the map of universities in Europe.
The Academy of Arts offers three cycle studies with 35 accredited study programmes. All degrees are Bologna-compliant since 2006 and approved by the National Accreditation Committee. The Academy employs top experts in the country.
The Academy tends to enhance its capacities through international projects and students and staff mobility through various programs such as Erasmus+, Creative Europe, IPA, Tempus, Visegrad Fund, Horizon 2020, etc.
